No, you don't. Expressing one's feelings is never wrong, no matter how wrong their argument is. That being said, I was curious so I asked. Call me a name for what I believe and see what happens. You asked an honest question, though. In the world of social networking and all this other junk, why would anyone care about their real name appearing in a videogame? I have a fairly unique situation, though, and I fully admit that.

I'm not mad or trying to belittle anyone, your post just was more understandable than the OP so I just thought I would see what the details were. I can understand your unique situation, although without you telling me I would still not see why anyone would have such a problem. You never know unless you ask.

The only thing I can tell is OP doesn't enjoy the game anyone and doesn't want his name on the credits anymore. That's a reasonable request, even if his name was unique or common. Just because it doesn't make sense, doesn't mean it has to either. This isn't law school where everything has to make sense in the most confusing way

Please understand this is not intended as a "quit" thread. I have not been overly affected by login issues, I am unable to continue playing the game because Digital River won't send me my retail copy.

The situation keeps escalating and I have to register complaints against SE and DR. As such, I want my name stricken from the legacy credits in game so as it will not serve as an endorsement or association with either of these companies. Also, SE did not input the name I provided them and instead placed a legal billing name onto the credits.

Please provide me with some contact info about having my name removed.

Can I have your spot in the credits instead?

I changed my last name, which is VERY specific and not common at all (i.e. everyone else who has this last name I am related to). The word I changed it to is a common last name.

Could you elaborate why you would be so upset? I'm trying to understand but I can't. Who the hell is going to know your name is your name? How do you know that there isn't another person who shares your name on that list? Not being an asshole, but even if you were a celebrity why would it matter? Someone going to see your irl name and come kill you? Are you a mob leader? I can''t think of any situation where your name in some credits is going to adversely affect you. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As mentioned above, my name is very specific so yes, it will be recognized. If you must know, I've done some game journalism before and that is another reason why I do not want an endorsement attached to Square.

However, as I said the main reason is I am pursuing complaints against Square and Digital River. I do not want my name in the credits being held against me.
