"x" amount of people can log in, and they stay logged in rightly so. "y" amount of people have had "z" amount of hours played and cannot log in or have not been able to log in for days.

So my riddle is:

Why are the servers not taken entirely down until Square Enix can fix this problem?

Rant:

The people who have been lucky enough to stay connected and blaze through the game deserve it, and the people who paid just as much money as them and can't log in are shit out of luck? No wonder people are reporting SE to BBB and filing complaints and asking for refunds. They paid for a product that doesn't work; and the solution has not been resolved in a timely manner.

You can sit here all you want and say its a complicated problem, they had no idea it was going to be this bad, or whatever claims you want to make. However, remember that these problems persisted in beta. Also, these companies have data to show them what kind of load they should expect on EA / release. This was poor management and I hope whoever was in charge of the launch gets fired because it is comparable to some of the worst launches in MMO history.

Back to my original topic; servers should be brought down indefinitely until the problem is fixed preventing the progression of the game while others cannot play. Fix the issue; you're losing more players by allowing others to play while they sit spamming login all day to be told 1017 after getting into a queue.
