Discussion about the possible division between DoW/M and DoH/L.

I was wondering about your opinions on how the different subsets of classes should be treated as we go forward. Do you think they should establish a permenant divide between the content done by crafters and fighters? For example, story missions involving combat can be done exclusively by fighting classes (or perhaps a group willing to let a crafter tag.

Alternatively, do you think DoH/L classes should gain new combat skills? I believe back before the game was released this was the teams intention based upon class descriptions. If this is the case, what kinds of skills do you think should be added?

Personally I'd love them to add some kind of combat application to DoH and DoL, but failing that I think they should be fully treated as a seperate entity from combat classes. I hope they don't end up wrecking the story missions because you can Parley you way to victory.

I'm a bit concerned about how they will handle this. Going forward, I think in order to have a satisfying and challenging quest experience, they will probably need to give up the idea that you can do all the things you want without every leveling a combat class. It was a novel thought, but there's a reason crafting is usually the focus of free facebook games instead of AAA MMOs. At base I like the crafting system, but I think the focus it's gotten in development has taken away from the combat classes, which are the main reason most people play MMOs.

Hahaha, yes. Parley is soooooo ridiculous sometimes. I remember one mission where
    the storyline told you:

"QUICK! THEY ARE COMING! THEY WILL KILL EACH OTHER AND US, TOO!!!"

...and then you will walk up to some NPCs, have a cup of tea and PARLEY your way
to victory, while the beastmen wander around aimlessly. Total bummer.
