Why are we upset?

I don't know about you, but a game I bought in 2010 is not in a playable state come 2013... makes me a little pissed.

I would be too if I wasn't able to get on, but I was able to play for about 4 days before I finally 90k'd and can't find the US/EU server list anymore so I'm not really mad since I only have to wait a shorter period of time, in your case you waited 3 years, talk about dedication, I hope it's everything you wanted once you get on.

I know it's not everything I want, but Elder Scrolls Online and the Xbox One aren't out yet..

actually they have never flat out stated they will "Fix" the problems. They are just adding more servers and such. Although the grand details of the patch still remain a mystery, and could contain some sort of fix, the main issue is players getting the mentality of "once you log on, don't dare log out or you won't get back on" because there are too many players per World.


We really need a World Transfer to help, and limit the creation of 1 character per account until the hype dies a bit. Meaning you can only play on 1 server, with 1 character, at any given time. Adding a method to boot the AFK would help greatly, freeing up time every X minutes (a set interval for AFK kicking) thus freeing up space all day long, not just during peak hours or prime time.


World Transfer - get players off congested servers with little/no loss and onto less congested ones.

AFK Kick - freeing up space for players who actually want to play, instead of those just "preparing" to play.

and finally More Servers - because if every sever is locked down, obviously they are making enough money to get more to help with the mass influx of new players.

Perhaps people are upset because they, like me, have limited times in which they can play a video game, much less something as involved as an MMO tends to be, so when we get a chance to play...we cannot. Reasonably, we can agree that not everything goes smoothly and having problems is completely natural. Knowing that those things happen... only makes me more upset.

If you and I can reasonably ASSUME something will go wrong. SE should have KNOWN it would and had contingency plans in place for launch. Not a week later, but for launch.

So your world server is full... move on! I have toons in NA, EU and JP... none of which can I log into.

The take away here is that we've one avenue to vent, don't be a hero, just weep for us sad sad people who've got so little else in their lives. Move along.

I'm no hero friend, far from it, I'm just a fan with slightly more patience than the average person and want to figure out whats up. Like everyone else I want to log in, play I know the jp servers are hardly ever full (I only got 1 1017 with a jp server) yet I still try to play on the character I dedicated myself to and i'll be damned if I have it any other way.

First of all, I'm not a final fantasy fan, nor was I a fan of this game in particular, I just bought it on a whim.

You all probably know it's a pain in the butt to try an log into this game, especially during the weekends. But we were told that there was going to be a fix for that this week (probably tomorrow or the next day) which honestly seems like a reasonable time since it takes 4-6 days to ship the servers from japan. - This is why i'm curious about the people complaining about it not getting fixed yet?

Then some of us are upset that our free time is expiring and they believe we are losing our time, but we are getting an extension to our free time and I think they are going to add a free world transfer once that system is up. -This is why I'm curious about people asking for compensation.

-The lack of an afk kicker or proper queue
This is a real concern that needs to be addressed, no two ways about it.
-Botters
Botters hog up valuable space and ruin the game economy, adding both an afk kicker and a way to quickly report botters would have been a great hotfix.
-Customer Support
While I know they are under a lot of pressure I would like to see some general posts in the forums and quicker responses

The people who are able to play the game, these people are either fans of the series, or like me, fans of this game. The reason I think you all are so angry and you try to log in for upwards of 7 hours is because you guys really like the game and really want to play it, nobody tries so hard to play a game they don't like. Honestly I was a steaming mad pile of hate and rage until I was actually logged in. Once I log in I really felt the passion put into the game, not as a final fantasy fan but as a fresh set of eyes. This game was the game made from a desperate company trying to create something good.
Which is honestly the best way to make a game, because you are forced to be creative and work hard, I looked up the other day that the original Final Fantasy was called Final Fantasy because it was literally their Final game if it was not successful.

-So am I a Final Fantasy fan-boy or not?-
Short answer: No, I am merely a fan of THIS game.

-How can you not be angry?-
I bought this game with my own money and for the love of god I was FURIOUS
but, once i managed to bypass all the errors, registration problems, log in issues and disconnections. I was able to calm down and enjoy the game, so yes, you guys are rightfully mad, but with it being the last stretch it's high time we calm down and prepare to enjoy the game

-Do I regret writing this for all the potential grief I will get?-

Couldn't have said any of this better myself. Although, with one difference, I am a total fanboy and I love this franchise and the creativity it has spawned within me, so I want to see it successful as well.

A lot of people are here just because it's final fantasy and that's a damn fine reason to be here.

I only played the original Final Fantasy and some of Final Fantasy 7. I was in love with the first one, mostly because of red mage and I played some XI because of the red mage too. But I never consider myself a Final fantasy fan, I just consider myself a fan of THIS game.
