Not even close to the best gear in the game. There is the Allagan set, Odin set as well as AFv2 and all are better than DL destroy it and take a long time to get.

Dungeon Gear = Grinding Fodder
AF = Primal and Endgame Diapers
DL = Endgame Big Boy Pants
AFv2 & Allagan = I'm so Pro!

No they aren't, AFv2 and Allagan are identical (with a different stat), for example here are all that i mentioned for Bard.

Amdapor doesn't drop Allagan, its a level 50 4 man instance and drops its own sets, such as the Demagogue set for Mages.
I have most of the Demagogue set on my black mage and each piece is better than the respective AF set.

You said my post wasn't exactly right. I didn't mention Amdapor, I wasn't giving a tiered list of all possible gear I was listing the blue sets and their order of magnitude. There is a lot of crafted gear that is better than AF as well and things in-between. I have a Dema Mask from back in 1.0 so yes, there is that as well. Along with the Vanya for mages and Gryphonskin for DD and Darksteel for tanks. + melds all of those are better than AF.
