I just want to leave my opinion because I'm going to uninstall this game and since this part of the forum is where I spent most of the time, here it goes.

This MMO had a really bad start. There are already plenty of MMO on market and they only had to ask around to get a perfect start. So from my point its a bad game design.
About gameplay since this is the most important aspect for me.
Guild Wars 2 combat system + Vanguard crafting system + Final Fantasy Lore = Poor implemntation.
Cross class skill = something original but not enough.
There are so many bad things is this game and this points to one direction -> beginner mistakes.

I dont see a bright future for this game. Server are full now because of the initial rush when everyone wants to be first on 50, first on crafting.
After a month, 50% or more will go away. Its just the hardcore fun base of Final Fantasy lore will stay.

As for the future, there is a revolution in gameplay design thats coming and it will start with Everquest Next.

It's not that this is a struggling MMO launch. This is the SECOND attempt at the same game. They were lucky enough people cared to give it another go, I fear this second failure will dash all the hope the game had.

MMO's are a tough market and sadly mistakes like this can kill a game easily.

Yeah, the fact that this is the second launch for this title makes this launch even worse, and while the actual game is great it's one hell of a battle to actually log in and play it . You would have hoped that a company that already went through a horrible experience and owned up to it would have been 100% prepared for this launch but they completely dropped the ball. Anyone that played P4 of the beta probably had a feeling that SE was in trouble and wouldn't have enough time to fix their issues, and looks like they haven't. I haven't been able to log in since wednesday, given I haven't been trying for more than an hour a day, but combined I wasted 5 hours of my life just trying to log in to the game. Unless this turns out to be the best MMO in history I don't see why I'd even consider keeping a sub for this...

I'm a developer myself and I've been in the field for 15 years so far and I can tell you they should have done more reserch before starting the second run.
