Just some random population data from wikipedia:

    Japan: 126,659,683
    Europe: 739,165,030
    USA: 316,577,000
    Canada: 33,476,688
    Oceania: 35,670,000

Europe has more population that the other 3 areas together.

Not helping the case... EU has by a significant amount far less than NA or JP. So taking into account the percentage of population... But anyway, you're statistics are skewed. Do you knot know the difference between a county and a continent? Furthermore "EU" is not Europe... the largest population in the game is English speaking (far more than JP, FR, and GR, put together) and you can guess where the majority of that is coming from by your own statistics.

I'm talking about potential customers if SE supported their games accordingly in the continent of Europe.

Alas they never have, so it's normal that there are less players when in fact, there should be way more.

I'm wondering, when ARR is released in China (Yoshi said that sometime ago), how many servers and what kind of support they will provide there.

Oh wait... this relaunch is just a beta for the china release of the game!

I completely agree with OP and i am tired of being treated as 2nd grade customer.
If SE does not move EU servers to a more appropriate location in Europe in a few months i will probably stop subscribing cause i really dont feel like fighting against latency.

Is that so? Source please as I got this one, it's only about the legacy players though: http://www.4gamer.net/games/199/G019924/20130823089/. From Google Translate (so don't mind the horrible syntax):

Interviewer: The European, or would there are legacy players how much.
Yoshida: You have to answer it because it is difficult or little say in the data at any point, that there are legacy players of almost equal to Japan. The most common in North America, it will be about two times that of Japan

Now assuming the non legacy generally follow the same rule, your statement "EU has by a significant amount far less than NA" is true, but "EU has by a significant amount far less than NA or JP" is totally false.
