How many EU players does SE need to get us to play properly?

I'm very sorry about crushing white knighters hopes and dreams, but even to people like me, who love Final Fantasy, who gave enough chance on 1.0 (went to 50) just because they knew 2.0 would eventually go out, who are 50 in 2.0 and are trying to ignore all the problems that the game has, this server lag is unbearable in high content, and we only have PVE now, i can't even imagine how this is going to work in PVP.

It's much better than in 1.0, that's correct, but this is unplayable to people that played many other MMO's that don't have this problem, even if you use the argument that "if you move really really fast you dont get hit by the aoe's", just the breaking the immersion that is ur char being completely safe somewhere and being hit by one million damage for no apparent reason its incredible.

You can say it's the animations that are crap, that the circles are on the time of the cast bars, that's true, but that's another question,the 150ms that the best connections in EU get on Canada servers make all the difference.

When you are healing its even worse, the ammount of times i've healed someone as in my cast bar ended and after like half a second they die and i check and my heal didn't go in, cmon, and you can notice that very well if you are doing something like summoning mount and walking, as you can very well start walking in the beggining of the cast and it only cancels at the end of it, or you can walk when the cast is over and it still cancels it.

I don't know what's the ammount of players that SE needs to have playing on EU to think about renting server space in EU like most of the successful online games in the world (LoL even has 2 different EU zones) but right now it seems like they just dont give a crap, and people will slowly get very tired of this lag, when they're trying a first kill and die to lag, or the tank dies to lag, or cant dispel in time cause of lag, and all that stuff.

Specially on PVP.

Not helping the case... EU has by a significant amount far less than NA or JP. So taking into account the percentage of population... But anyway, you're statistics are skewed. Do you knot know the difference between a county and a continent? Furthermore "EU" is not Europe... the largest population in the game is English speaking (far more than JP, FR, and GR, put together) and you can guess where the majority of that is coming from by your own statistics.

Alas they never have, so it's normal that there are less players when in fact, there should be way more.

I'm wondering, when ARR is released in China (Yoshi said that sometime ago), how many servers and what kind of support they will provide there.

Oh wait... this relaunch is just a beta for the china release of the game!

I completely agree with OP and i am tired of being treated as 2nd grade customer.
If SE does not move EU servers to a more appropriate location in Europe in a few months i will probably stop subscribing cause i really dont feel like fighting against latency.

I wonder if they will ever make an EU Datacenter since they already made it NA/EU in launch. Something as important as this would've happened before launch if they actually wanted to do it.
