The answer to the question is simply no. Adding new servers will do nothing but have a number of new servers who find themselves filled. Character transfers are rumored to happen later this month, not in the next 2 days, so the people who are currently on servers are going to have 2 options, wait it out, or start fresh on a new server. Increasing the server cap will help slightly, but not enough. People don't want to log out because they want to be able to play the game when they come home. This is bad logic, these people are the major part of the problems currently on the servers. Until they add in a afk kicker to remove the inactive players the server problems will continue.

And for those people who buy into the story of they didn't know how popular the game would be, please. They have a sales research team who gets paid for this. They had preorders placed, they knew how many early access they'd have, they knew how many games they shipped, and how many digital downloads they had. They had the ability to track every single purchase of the game. They knew how many people were going to play the game at launch.

No MMO launch is perfect, no MMO game is perfect, that's the reason they get patched all the time, but these problems were happening in the beta testing stages of the game. They knew how many people were going to play, they knew what there hardware could handle, this was a mess up on there part, and hopefully they address it with the patch tomorrow, but like I said unless they do something about all the afk players in current servers, nothing is going to change.
