I don't get why add more worlds if people won't want to transfer...
Who says people wont want to transfer?
I'm sure there are plenty of people who either can't find a group of people they like, are low-level newbies on a server overrun with high-level legacy players, are unhappy with their server's economy, want to change because their friends want to play and can't create characters on the existing servers, or any number of other reasons.

Using the title of this thread for the basis of my response, I would say this is the million dollar question. Part of the issue is we have been given minimal information without an understanding of the implementation. This leads to speculation, frustration, fear and needless worries. The simple fact of the matter is whatever they do and implement is what they are going to do.
My guess(which is pure speculation on my part) is they add more servers so everyone can get on. I don't think transferring servers will happen for awhile. This will lead to people playing different characters on different servers so they can play the game. I do think they will also implement some kind of AFK booting system and/or a better queueing system. These are not my hopes, just what I think they will do.
If the above happens I believe most people will be content, but the cries of I can't play on my main server will start a new issue. I do hope whatever they do at the very least, allows everyone to log on somewhere and play.
It a good AND bad thing that they clearly did not realize how many players would actually be playing. Im sure the total number is much higher than ANY of us thought.
Square Enix releases a ton of games. Pre-order numbers will remain at similar percentages regardless of the type of game. People who preorder, preorder, and people who do not, don't. You can get a very good estimate based on that info, then add some padding into the numbers to play it safe. They knew what their max peak capacity was, and where estimates were to come in. If they had done the math right, they would have been ready, by having more servers and/or capacity.
Well, you keep your baseless speculation blaming the company for purposely causing and incident that hurts both their reputation and their revenue, and makes no logical sense from a financial standpoint. I'll stick with what the producer has actually stated because its completely plausible, and comes from someone with some actual knowledge of the inner-workings of the company.Square Enix releases a ton of games. Thankfully they are doing more hten just adding servers. They are also upgrading the data centers that hole things like the log in queue the lobby duty finder and other similar systems.
If they don't do something other then add new servers, bloated servers are still plagued, I sincerely doubt they are that stupid. I mean anyone can come to that logic.
Yeah well I think they are expanding how many people can be on one server as well...?
People want to add more people to existing servers? Damn, it's already crowded in zones. I know some of this will die down as the novelty wears off, but I'll be curious to see what happens when every one is level capped. It's not like it's hard to get to 50.
