He's saying it drops when he tries to use lock on mode, whilst in legacy. So he's asking for advice on how to get better at using lock on whilst in Legacy.
@Zank, practice with it. That's the only way to get good at it.
I was just giving general advice for the different control options. This is why I said control type is really personal preference. I don't use Legacy or lock-on myself because I only strafe as well so I never lose auto attacks unless that's what I need to do for a mechanic.Endless debate pretty sure but in what situation would you lose auto attacks using Legacy and no lock-on? My MNK auto attack damage contributes to about 30%~ total damage, with or without Legacy and no lock-on.
Could go further into detail and count autoattacks done on whatever encounter but yea, curious when you'd lose auto attacks while using Legacy/no lock-on.

This is the way to do it. FTW! You can simply strafe and still be facing your target and not miss those AA's

N-O-P-E :
1. Wasted acc on ur novus
2. since when ST headpiece and belt is BiS?
3. replace earrings, necklace, bracelet to HA ones
4. replace weathered gloam with ramuh ring
if u wanna det build use all det gears
Proper BiS, not completely. However given a bit of leeway, substituting accuracy in place of the tier IV's isn't a complete 'waste'.
If anything meeting the flank accuracy req. first and foremost is more important than any of the secondary stats.
Especially given that 2.4 (TCOB) is right around the corner, it's highly likely that we'll need more accuracy than we currently need for T9.
One could argue that we'll have new tomestone gear, but initially for raiding, no-one will have any of the pieces as prediction goes.
You have the exact same set up as me. Except I don't have my Novus yet. I'll be putting 31 into Det, 30 into Crit and 14 into Acc on mine though, so we differ there.
It's not BIS, but considering I haven't beaten T6 yet it's as good as I can get for where I am. The only thing I am debating about is whether to switch the neck piece for the Moogle ribbon. Same Det but accuracy added (at a cost of slightly less STR). It might mean that I could add less Acc to my Novus and more Crit, which might well make up the difference for the slightly reduced Str.
Hey, could I get some tips on my rotation? I don't feel weak but I always like more damage.

Ht-tt-vt-ft-phlb-id-dis-ct
ht-tt-vt-ft-phlb-tt-vt-ft
repeat
Thanks in advance!

You literally just need to get rid of that last Heavy Thrust and you're golden. If somehow you have an extra GCD there that you can use and still not run out of time on any of your buffs/debuffs, I personally think Fracture would be the way to go, though that's a topic that would get some debate.Hey, could I get some tips on my rotation? Oh whoops that was actually a typo, there's no point in having another ht there
