    1. Don't see why you need to hold back 1-2 seconds, just HT the moment you are in position running in behind the tank, knowing that the tank is going to run through the target to the other side of the target reticule.

    2. Not factoring animation lock of SSD into your argument makes it weak, by comparing the "1-2 second delay" with "apparent" no delay

    I'm not sure if Spineshatter is faster to get in and attack (IE factoring in the slight animation lock). Could depend on how far away your tank pulls I suppose. Don't really have proof either way, I'll start walking in more to see if which way is better as currently I almost always Elusive/Spine to pull. I do like its consistency at least, can never screw up or be surprised, regardless of the tank's pull distance or timing.

    Just saying if you DO lose half a second or more (from the time the tank pulls to the time you HT, all things factored) it's a DPS loss to throttle it for buffs than using it as a gap closer.

    You can never do enough damage! A better answer though is, finding out how to do the best DPS you can prepares you for when we're not overgeared.

    The correct answer is for moments when teammates derp and die for dumbest of reasons and needs that little bit more DPS to cover for his DPS loss to push phases as per normal. *insert pokemon theme song here: I wanna be the very best, no one ever was.....*

    As for the spineshatter situation, i just like to know my tank.

    I know its not always possible, but i pay close attention to them static or not. I've talked to my static MT, and he always lets me know when hes about to run. Fights like t9 where i know exactly what moves i can fit in before a jump, can mess with what i like to do. So i just talked to him, simple as that.

    I'm right behind him when he shield lobs, able to heavy thrust as he's running through the enemy to turn it, and continue my combo from there. A huge part of this understanding the server delay in this game, if thats what it should be called. Other players are doing things before you see them do it, positioning updates and all.

    Just get to know your group. I think that's the best option for this sort of thing.
    No need to waste a move, 'IF", you are going for max dps. Not that it would make a huge difference either way.

    Ok, hi again all, really having trouble figuring out what my next purchased sold upgrade should be, I'm at i107 now, so there isn't much left, and some of my BiS is t9, which we haven't cleared yet.

    Currently I have:

    Liberator

    Guardian's Helm of Maiming
    Astrum Mail
    HA Guantlets of Maiming
    Guardian's Tassets of Maiming
    Astrum Hose
    Astrum Sabatons

    Ribbon of Slaying
    High Allagan Earrings of Slaying
    HA Bracelets of Slaying
    HA Ring of Slaying
    Gloam Ring

    So, yeah, pretty well decked out. I know that the Astrum Armguards are going to be BiS, but they aren't an ilvl upgrade, so I have my helm, my waist, and my necklace next in queue.

    What do you all think?

    I have a question about Dragon Kick (mnk player here) whats the trick to landing the debuff 100% of the time? Do I need more ACC? (currently 464, but looking to bump that up a tad with some materia soon)
    As it stands now its hit or miss, sometimes it sticks and sometimes it doesn't.
