    so I always hear about DRGs talking about a priority system.

    HT
    CT combo
    PB
    FT combo

    but delaying Phb by 3 GCD's is not worth moving up CT by 1 GCD in every single situation. notably with "buff snapshotting" you want at least 2 GCDs before applying your DoTs because they're both heavy hitters and you want to apply IR+BFB before tossing out DoTs.

    if IR+BFB are down, then wouldn't a solo drg be better off applying phb first?

    of course situations also change these numbers... another DRG in the party means your disembowel is largely wasted while a BRD in the party means your disembowel is valued a bit more.

    so while a priority system is GREAT, it's not IDEAL in every scenario.

    if you are in a party with another DRG then Phb should be your second skill in your rotation correct ?(assuming B4B/IR is down)

    It always depends on duration of the enemies life. CT combo > FT combo

    CT = 180 + 220 + 250 + (10 x 35) = 1000
    FT = 150 + 200 + 360 = 710

    2 ticks of CT (~6 sec) is > than FT combo. I personally also like to use ID + Dis to finish off mobs because they are higher potency than TT + VT.

    So its not really a waste, multiple drgs or not. As for buff snapshotting, I have no comment lol

    No... Because of the Rotation and DoT ticks work.

    In the same time frame, you're trading 1 additional Phlebotomize Tick for a Chaos Thrust Tick. That's all you're doing when you use Phlebotomize first.

    H P IDC vs H IDC P

    DoTs aren't buffed by Disembowel, that's the first thing to remember. Let's use a GCD of 2.45.

    Let's say... We're going on until we're going to do our second PH application, so that's 10GCDs or 24.5s worth of DoTs

    H P IDC TTT H
    170 + (30*6) = 350
    180 + 220 + (250*1.1) + (35*4) = 275 + 140 + 180 + 220 = 815
    815 + 350 = 1165 / 24.5 = 47.6 Potency Per Second

    H IDC P TTT H
    (170*1.10) + (30*5) = 187 + 150 = 337
    180 + 220 + (250*1.1) + (35*5) = 275 + 175 + 180 + 220 = 850
    850 + 337 = 1187 / 24.5 = 48.4 Potency Per Second

    Nothing to do with IR/BFB.

    People used to think Phlebotomise was better using first because you're getting additional Phlebotomize potency... But that isn't really the case when you factor in Chaos Thrust ticks. And if going HP was higher potency, it wouldn't matter because our BFB and x-pot will still hit the Phlebotomize as long as you use X-Pot before Disembowel and BFB before Chaos Thrust.

    Next. No, you do not have a wasted situation when using Disembowel. You're not losing 220 Potency when using Disembowel and it's still necessary to pull off Chaos Thrust, which doesn't collide with the other Dragoon either. But let's assume disembowel is already up... 1165 + 17 = 1182 Potency. So in the same time frame, it's still less Potency. That additional Chaos Thrust Tick is what makes or breaks the Dragoon, seriously.

    This is just a very, very simplified version of how our rotation interacts with our different abilities. The bigger picture is on my Dragoon Model spreadsheet.
