Dragoons: A Rotation Reborn

Hey guys. I'm looking for a bit of advice in regards to what gear I should have. I'm nowhere near Second Coil level yet. I still haven't even done Turn 4 or Titan Ex yet.

My current gearset is this:

Weapon: Gae Bolg Zenith (working on Atma)
Head: Wyrm's Armet
Chest: Wyrm's Mail
Hands: Wyrm's Gauntlets
Belt: Weathered Astrum Belt
Legs: Wyrm's Breeches
Feet: Wyrm's Greaves

Neck: Hero's Necklace of Slaying
Ears: Weathered Gloam Earrings
Wrists: Weathered Gloam Bracelets
Ring: Weathered Gloam Ring
Ring: Vortex Ring of Slaying.

My iLvl is 93. My first question is, should I be using the Vortex ring or the Hero's one? I asked my FC leader who is also a Dragoon and he suggested the Hero's one. My second question is, can you suggest any improvements to my gear? I should be doing Turn 4 this weekend and also working on Titan Ex, so you can include loot from those in your suggestions. Hey guys, so as far as sold purchases go I've gotten boots, pants, and ring and a few various other accessories (earrings bracelet specifically) as a result of poor drops in coils and desperately needing some kind of upgrade. I also (and regret it now honestly) have the weathered belt. Everything else is i90 including my body and helm. Both are wryms.

I'm stuck on what to buy with sold now. I know gauntlets are bis unweathered but i have the HA ones to hold me over. I am not hurting on accuracy at the moment so the body doesn't look very appealing, same with the helm.

Should I just hold onto my tomes? I'm getting dangerously close to 2000 cap and am stuck on what to buy, if I should buy anything. If not should I invest in rowena tokens and get a tome for weathered liberator? I'm working on animus and am 4/9 books so far. Currently using allagan spear. I seem permanently stuck at i96 with no good way of boosting it without coil drops which have been eluding me for a long time now.

If you're close to sold cap then I would go with the weathered sold hands. The weathered hands are better than the HA, and if you're not hurting on acc it make even more sense. Also you'll have enough for the liberator when you get the tombstone

All this depends on the current gear you have. Until I get some more gear, High Allagan gloves are actually best for me in every turn of 2nd coil.

If you need the acc = use the Vortex, if not, use a Hero's. You adjust depending on the needs of the fight.

I would pick up the choker, and the hands (you did say you were about to cap ). Why? Because they are quite nice, more so when upgraded.
