would it be possible for either emx or dervy to link your updated calc?

Sure thing.

This is what I use to work out BiS. It's a modified version of the original BiS set Solver that was posted here a while ago. All credit goes to Zigkid3. To make it work, (must be using office '10+), go to File -> Options -> Add-Ins -> Go -> Check "Solver Add-in" -> OK.
Now, to actually use the solver, you'll want to click on the Green Box next to "Total Objective", click the tab called "Data" -> "Solver?" in the tab (far right).
In the orange boxes, those are variables you can change, so the stat weights, including the accuracy needed to reach the cap. It spits out different gear, and shows the resulting CRT, DET + SS. Remember, these stats that it spits out doesn't include the weapon, so you'll have to add the weapons stats afterwards. The choice of Weapon you want to calculate with comes as part of the Accuracy Cap needed. So if you want to reach 472 cap with Gae Bolg Zenith, input 94 for accuracy, or 131 if you want to use Allagan Spear. 463 Accuracy with Allagan Spear, we would be inputting a value of 122 in there.
After it's solved, it'll display 0's and 1's. 1 = BiS. 0 = Not for set.
Now, to calculate stat weights. It's really easy to use. Put in the total CRT + DET + SS values you got, including the weapon, into the boxes. Then if you're using food, put in the Food % boost, along with their max value. So for Buttons in Blankets HQ, it's 2% CRT 10 max, 4% DET 16 max, and you'll get your total values in the green boxes shown.

There's two Sheets on that spreadsheet, if you want to do any comparisons with other gear sets etc. Also, "proposed accuracy" column does nothing, nor is it calculated into anything. It's just there to help me keep track of what accuracy I'm aiming for with that set.
Remember though, these are tailored for a Dragoon, not any other job, but it doesn't mean you can't change the Stat Weights to suit your Job!
Enjoy!
You running the updated Stat Weight values?
WD = 8.488
CRT = 0.184
SS = 0.152
DRT = 0.323
They're also a few pages back.

Nope, but as you can see it's the same T5 weapon but every of my stat from accuracy, crit hit and determination is higher than the one updated on page one
Page 1's stats: 472 acc, 481 crit, 303 det.
Mine: 474 acc, 484 crit and 331 det.

I didn't have the time to review all the replies to this thread, but I was wondering if Fracture is still worthwhile? Also do the numbers hold up with the adjustments to HT (as they are not currently reflected in the first posts, although it is described as being adjusted to 2.1). Lastly, where should the other jump attacks be placed in the rotation for optimal effectiveness?
No more Fracture.

My oGCD rotation (one after each GCD move) is the following, and I use each oGCD again as it comes up. I do save my subsequent buffs to be used at the same time so that I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I do Full Thrust.
BFB > IR > LS > SSD > PS > J > LS > DFD
If the fight does not allow you to use stun moves, you want to leave out leg sweep and spineshatter dive. Also, the oGCD "rotation" is for pure burst situations only. Depending on your encounter, you may want to save jumps for transportation and what not.

Can anyone explain how to use this with OpenOffice? I know it has a "Solver" but it doesn't seem to do anything if I change the acc to 94 and try to solve after clicking the green box.Sure thing.

I don't have a lot of experience with OpenOffice but I've tried everything I could think of. Any help would be appreciated.
