Dragoons: A Rotation Reborn

Hi guys! So, I have a question... I am sorry if it's been answered before, but I'm not even sure what to search for. I've been practicing my rotation now that I'm ready for endgame stuff. Most of the time I can get a HT-buffed FT of at the end of the HT-Fr-Ph-ID-Di-CT-TT-VT-FT combo, but now that I've started trying to incorporate oGCD abiltiies, I can't seem to get the damage from FT off before the HT buff timer runs out. But I'm in the middle of the animation when it does... so... does it count? Does the attack take a snapshot of my buffed status when I hit the button, or when the damage is applied?

EDIT: Just wanna point out that I did read the opening posts by Ayvar, and I know that DoTs are "snapshotted" upon button press, not application. I'm just wondering if that's only for DoTs or for every ability.

Just switch to a Fracture-less rotation (there are a couple in the guide). You could also dig one out of the previous pages of the thread, or make one of your own!

Phew! Alright, if that's the case then I don't need to switch. I can consistently hit the button for FT before the HT buff runs out, even with Fracture and oGCD abilities. I was just worried about those "- Heavy Thrust ... Full Thrust [Damage]!" messages after I hit the button.

Yeah, HT will come off during the FT, but the buff icon should still be up when you actually hit the FT button
