Dragoons: A Rotation Reborn

Ok, ok, guess what I noticed after two months (not counting beta3) of playing lancer/dragoon. We have one of the longest (if not THE longest) slow-inducing skill, being 20s at full power with our trait. And that kind of helped during Dhorme Chimera's "Ram's Voice", giving more reaction time to paladin/bard to silence it. Not mentioning the other side/rear AoE attacks. Now, what I was going to ask was (not sure if this is the right topic though): how often/when should we use that in fights?

its a dps loss..
but if it saves the group's life, its better to use it. i think it fully depends on the fight, the group, and yourself so it cant really be answered. can probably make a list of the fights it works on though
