You are doing good if you are sitting around 260-270 in T6-T7. Yeah weapon contributes a large portion in increasing our DPS. So unless, your group can consistently clear t7-t8, you should work on your Animus, then again, you don't really need that much DPs for t6-t7. A levi or allagant one will do just fine.
