Since always. Only DOTs count as base physical everything else you do as a dragoon or monk is piercing/blunt physical. Then you got those weirdo ninjas that actually have magical damage on a few attacks.

You know, I've never actually known that. I've always thought it was magic based like all elemental attacks, thus not affected by piercing buffs. Welp, learn something new every day I guess!

Throw that in the giant contradiction bucket regarding everything DRG I guess.

Dragoon and Bard have elemental aspected physical attacks, but these are not actually counted as magical and do not gain the benefit of Foe's. However, the elemental attacks from Ninja are counted as magical thus receiving the benefit of Foe's. Not really sure what their thought process was in designing it. I guess they wanted wanted to avoid a bunch of nested attack types. So they just opted to count anything blunt, piercing, and slashing as physical and call it day. The whole elemental aspected attacks thing is a total wash because of that too.

Another SUMMONER BOOK. 3 SMN BOOKS, 4 SCH BOOKS. Still haven't gotten a single DPS weapon we can use other than BLM staff and our BLM left us. I REALLY don't want to do relic, but the game is telling me to. No hands/head/neck/ring from T10/11 either. On the plus side though I hit 555 on T10 with this i130.

Not at all. You're not doing anything but getting an upgraded weapon. The stats are exactly the same, so the set will also be the same.

Only difference is for people like myself who have 21 accuracy on our ZETA. Then you'd need another gear set.

It's okay Sir, we got our second spear with no drg in the party. Best part, it went to one of the people who almost never play drg by mistake.
