Haven't gotten a single piece of Dreadwyrm since starting Final Coil, which was more or less when it came out (no static so a couple of weeks didn't get to run). Makes me sad.

Should I: Meld my Kirimu Belt of Maiming.

Or buy the IWS belt and wait for the Dreadwyrm piece? I've downed T9, so we'll be starting on T10 soon.

Are you going for crafted or non-crafted BiS?

I'm poor, so I don't have any crafted BiS, and managed to down t10 first week with only a coulpe SCoB pieces (including Weapon) and Soldiery.

If you concern only about your dps and survability, the Ironworks+SCob+WoD+Soldiery gear are just fine.

The belt is the only piece that will be BiS. But even then, I'm not sure how much better it is than the non crafted BiS belt is.

The belt alone provides an overall +3 STR weighting by. Crafted Belts are always BiS and also, it's the cheapest item to purchase and meld.

I just find myself saving millions pre patch. Then also doing some SB on non raid days, to accumulate the required materias.

You can never have too many IVs.

Thanks for all the great info. I noticed on your link that you list the World of Darkness Gloves. For Non-Crafted BiS, is that the best to use? Or is it just a temporary measure until you get what you need?

And I'm wearing them because that's all the gear I have currently. Each time we're about to finally raid with my static, someone drops out. Fucking moogle, hate the people on this server. So unreliable, so I have no dreadwyrm/carbontwines

When I'm progressing, I always purchase or obtain gear which gives me the highest weighting, regardless if it's BiS or not. I usually end up with every single POE piece because of this.

Source: I've always run my gear through a solver and made sure I was maximizing DPS gain per tome / upgrade item because I was getting owned on drops week after week.

Glad I'm not the only one who does this.
