Hi guys, I need some advise on Augmented Ironworks Magitek Spear. First of all, this is the equip I got.

Weapon: Longinus (Critical Hit 49 - Determination 35)
Head: Dreadwyrm Barbut of Maiming Ironworks Visor of Maiming
Body: Ironworks Cuirass of Maiming
Hands: Ironworks Armguards of Maiming
Belt: Dreadwyrm Tassets of Maiming
Legs: Augmented Ironworks Hose of Maiming
Feet: Augmented Ironworks Sollerets of Maiming

As you can see the pieces 130 I got have mostly no accuracy on them, so at the moment I need to equip 120 items to reach the accuracy requirements. This is going to be more difficult if I get the Dreadwyrm body and neck pieces. At the moment my only chance to upgrade Ironworks is with twine from hunts since other members of the static still didn’t get their first (as I did).

So I really was wondering to buy the Ironworks Lance. I had a small discussion with a couple of friends in my static and they hardly suggest to not get the weapon because the Zodiac ILVL will be raised in the next patch. I think that even with an updated Zodiac would be nice having a weapon with accuracy oas an option. (Obviously I’ve tried multiple equips on Ariyala and it gave priority to Ironworks Weapon).

So what’s your opinion?

My opinion is "Hang on, why didn't you have the i130 spear in the first place?" because DPS weapon upgrades are far and away the the most effective use of carbontwine.

My static is still training on T13 so spending money on Caviars would be a bit too much for that fight. I can afford it for other turns.

My opinion is "Hang on, why didn't you have the i130 spear in the first place?" because DPS weapon upgrades are far and away the the most effective use of carbontwine.

Because, from a single slot perspective, full det and crit Longinus is better than Augmented Ironworks Spear according to stat weights: 597,406 vs 595,068. Consider that I didn't see drop any "Slaying" accessories until last two weeks, so being forced to use Poetics for a while I didn't have too many options and accuracy has never been an issue. Now with Wyrm accessories and the new way to obtain Carbontwine things are different.
