Anyway more questions, is is really worth it to invest in the crafted head and belt? Are they just plain better than the HA variants? I've been holding out for the T8 helm and am still using the stupid wyrm's head piece, but I really wanna get rid of it...

The belt is for sure because it drops in t9. I stopped trying to get my last Det materia in it for now since I need the materia for novus, but it's got 8 Det (11 max) 15 crit, 16 sksp and 15 acc. It's a nice belt for sure.

The helm is a nice piece too. I opted for the boots instead because at the time I needed a boots upgrade the most, since then I've just used the astrum helm, I hate to waste my nearly 300k boots xD (the belt has probably cost 500k at least, I went with cheap skill speed on the boots)

I've spent at least 20 hours on t6, still no clear. Seen 3%-8% health about 6 times over this last weekend.. Very frustrating.

That's interesting how close your numbers are there Sygmaelle. Wait a sec, 5 dps? Are you solo tanking or solo healing t6?

Think our monk got ilvl110 weapon and same for the blm, Ill soon be behind (that said our blm is full bis except HA weapon)

Yea our blm has Novus (i103ish I think), in our attempts last night his best run was at my average.. I don't know much about blm though, mine's still level 30 lol

Could have been faster, our silly blm teleported on the tank at a bad moment and got one shotted by the cleave but yeah until then he was rockin 426 in combat dps

You should use sands on:
- Astrum Armguards and Astrum Hose: these two pieces are far better then High Allagan Gauntlets of Maiming and High Allagan Trousers of Maiming.
- Astrum Mail: it's inferior to the High Allagan Cuirass of Maiming but it's the higher piece you can get before that T9 drop (even pentameld ILVL90 Wolfram Cuirass is a step behind) and the extra accuracy on it will come in handy at some point.
- Astrum Sabatons: High Allagan Sabatons of Maiming win over this piece and honestly if you're running T7 you should upgrade this last and only if you're sure the extra accuracy on them will be useful.

Using sands on Astrum Helm and the Astrum Belt should be your lowest priority, go for the pentameld Wolfram head and belt: they're better.

Anyway looking at your equipment I strongly suggest to get the Ribbon of Slaying, you're going to sacrifice just Skill Speed from the Unweathered Gloam Chocker but that extra +17 accuracy are going to be necessary.
