the vines only break up if all targets affected run 180* at each others (disregarding distance traveled) , as for the topic, i would prefer det > crit due to the fact :

1. crit chance is capped to 25% or 623 crit which is unobtainable because the current patch only gives us DRGs 553 crit at maximum which is 20%
2. our FULL ALL OUT BURST ROTATION which gave us the HIGHEST DPS among other jobs, have a freaking LONG DOWNTIME
3. 1 det is 33% boost to main stat which ofc works ALL TIME 24/7

I have a feeling very few people are going to get Novus weapons for a long while, unless all they do is grind Fates for Alexandrite (esp if you need to meld several grade-4 materia at <10% success rate, which may be what will happen).

High Allagan is still better than Novus (WD>ALL), so if you're close to or have cleared T9...probably shouldn't rush the quest...

Yea, the more and more I hear about it.. Makes just want to stop trying to get the last 2 atma I need.. I'm just too far behind.. I'll just keep trying to get the levi spear, and hope my group decides to let me get a tomestone early (still working on t6 atm)

From what I see on my scroll, I can add 31 DET and 44 Crit. As such, it stands to reason you can do as many stats as you'd like totaling 75 but this is not confirmed yet.

The SCH in our FC said he's able to cap both Crit (44) and Det (31).. So it stands to reason GB Novus could be the same

are you sure he isn't misreading it?

there's supposed to be a high and min secondary stat value. If you take det as high, which caps at like 31, then I dont think you can take 44 as that's the high cap for crit but rather the low cut for crit which I thinks also like 31. If you take high for crit of 44 then I think the low for det is 22.

Well he's a way from completion to know for sure, I have no reason to doubt him though. The crit cap on the scroll is 44 and det is 31 from the screen shots he sent.

Surely anyone with a GB Animus and the scroll can confirm it.

Hm if this is true then the optimum choice is always as much det as possible seeing as you're getting an extra like 40% stats over an equivalent i110 weapon. It wouldn't surprise me at all if se didn't care at all about their own stat distributions or didn't want to bother balancing it against equivalent weapons.

I don't think it will allow the Gae Bolg those kind of bonuses. That will totally blow Liberator right out of the water in terms of total stat weight.

Well, I don't think anyone can confirm it yet. But in terms of effort, I guess Novus requires a lot more to obtain compared to liberator.
