curious how you guys feel about a crafted piece in a gearset. This is what I'm getting as optimal gearset at 472 w/food:
Allagan Spear
Wyrm's Armet
Wyrm's Mail
Allgan Gauntlets
Darksteel Tassets (12/8/12/12)
Allagan Trousers
Allagan Sollerets
Hero's Necklace
Tremor Earrings
Hero's Bracelet
Both Allagan Rings
w/Buttons in a Blanket
I'm assuming 12 CRT, 8 DET, 12 Skill Speed as the melds?curious how you guys feel about a crafted piece in a gearset. This is what I'm getting as optimal gearset at 472 w/food:

This 472 Set w/ Blankets = 697.258

You... You're good my friend.
Now this puts into a bit of a pickle... Time to invest in those Darksteel Tassets HQ?
But in all seriousness, only reason why this set outperforms is because of the added skill speed. I'd still prefer the old set cause bigger hits = bigger e-peen. In standing-still fights, this set could potentially be better however...

True, true. I updated all of my spreadsheets to include crafted gear for shiggles, and it turned out surprisingly well. Nothing for MNK, but potentially 1 for DRG. I get up to 4 for BRD (Pre-T5), but generally 2.
4? Curious to what those are. I can only think of two that hardly make the cut, but 4?

the stats aren't exact because xivdb doesn't have meld caps

In the wardrobe, if you have an item with Materia Slots, you select the "Materia" tab, on top of the boxes where you drag your selected items in.

They need ilvl 80 or 90 craftable gear. There will be no questions that will be best.
They wouldn't do that. As at the moment we can't meld materias in Dungeon/Raid equipment, meaning a ilvl90 crafted stuff would be BiS. You would be able to be in full BiS without entering a raid an only time, which doesn't sounds right to me (that's just my opinion).
Main problem being that you would begin a newly released raid being in full BiS, which isn't at all how end-game content is supposed to be. You're supposed to learn the battles and to loot more performant equipment on the bosses. If you can enter a new raid in full BiS suit you just kill end-game and you kill your own game.
When they will allow materias to be melded into Raid stuff, then they could make some interesting craftables ilvl90. Meaning you'd have to get some of your BiS in raid, some with Myth and some with crafts.
