People are staying logged in while AFK so they don't run the risk of not being able to get back in later. This is extremely selfish behaviour. People like this are the reason parts of the world are in such distress, they dont' care one whit for anyone besides themselves. You know who you are and you should feel ashamed, because you likely behave this way in other, more important aspects of your life as well (these are the same people who tailgate you in traffic).

Have some honour and integrity (this would involve doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching). I've been logged in twice in the past two days, and I leave when I'm finished because I understand there are others who would like to play as well.

Those of you who agree, let's hear it. Those who don't, maybe a little introspection is in order hmm?

I agree, this is something I do not do! Got to level 27 on Friday and I have not been able to log in and play since. The world isn't coming to an end I will be able to play soon. I learned my lesson of rushing to level cap in some other MMO's and I don't care to make that mistake again anyway. Next Gripe on the forums is going to be "Nothing to do at level cap" Just watch! It's coming.

I've currently been waiting around 4 hours to get in, and you know what I think of these people staying logged in? I'm appalled, quite frankly. Appalled that people are being forced to stay logged in, just to have a chance at actually playing the game.

When/If I finally log in, I can assure you that I'm not logging out again (voluntarily) until Wednesdays server upgrade. It's not because I'm selfish, It's because there's literally no other way to enjoy the game, don't be fooled, SE has effectively forced people to do this. Cause and effect, people, cause and effect. Poor server handling, and the omission of an afk timeout are the real reasons we can't log in, not the people desperately trying to enjoy the game.

I also noticed that I can be logged into the game because I'm actually doing content, as are the hundred of other people I see running around.

You assume every one logged in at this very moment is just standing around AFK...you need an introspection because you're clearly hurt by this situation.

Well think of this this way. Computers are not built to run 24 hours on a day. Those people who refuse to log out and leave their computer on 24/7 are causing long term damage to their own computer.
