You guys who've been defending this game for months while forcing out anyone who's tried to point out the problems are going to be in for a rude awakening with this game.

The game currently has two huge problems racing against it:

    1) The planning was horrible, and we're in a situation where people can hardly play this game at all and if they can they're extremely fortunate to be in a server with their friends (which is the entire point of an MMO). If you can't create a character on a server with friends, that's a big problem. This issue will extend even beyond the assumption that they fix the issue where people can hardly even play at all.

    2) The game itself is rather shallow. There's a nice ride through main story but there's nothing else going on with the game. Classes are bland to retain balance, content is meaningless with pure hierarchical/automatic progression, the community is weak because the game is designed so that you warp to instances with strangers who you cannot communicate with once you complete them. There's also a GW2 situation going on where the only viable way to play after the story is to run around facerolling FATEs with the entire zone in a lag orgy.

You can pretend these issues don't exist or that they will go away with time (despite no real information from the development side saying otherwise), but the fact is that if they aren't addressed within the next 2-3 months the game will go down a familiar road for theme park MMOs - especially with its subscription. People expect a lot more out of a subscription based MMO. The more it's defended the less likely it will be that anyone is talking about this game by the time the next one comes around.
