The Lobby Server Connection Has Encountered An Error [Error Code 2002]

I was kicked from the game and have been getting this error for a while know.

I got the same error a few times. I just kept restarting client until it let me get past the Start screen and let me load my characters. The only sad thing is all worlds are full now. I haven't been able to play for a few days.

Out of curiosity, anyone know why SE doesn't have a que so people can wait in line to login instead of spamming LOG IN button. I know they have one but it rarely ever shows up and when it does and it is my turn to log in it says World is Full...isn't that why I am in line..?

Same here! I've been hoping to play, may it be a short session, but keep getting the same error.

As for the queue system, Yoshida mentioned in his recent letter that they're considering later (once the game will run smoothly on a daily basis) to implement the "AFK kick" to allow players to get in the world and play.

I have to suffer this ever so often myself, they need an afk timer to boot non-playing people. Seen a guy in Horizion town on Leviathan that just sits there the past few days on his mount. I can't log in and play because there are jerks like him who just never log out.

I haven't played in a week, due to me having a life and working during the day and its nearly impossible to get on at night, so I play a different MMO while I wait for them to hash out the details, mean while the free to play time is ticking away (prolly wont pay for it anytime soon)

Today is first day off in a while, and so I try to jump on at 7AM PST, and I keep getting that error about the lobby, AND it completely shuts the game down. Try this 4 times, and then the client now is mostly empty of all forum and news info, no picture in the left hand side of it... So I reboot PC. Now the client is still blank except where I login, and now "start" shows up, but my character wont... says cant find the list... screw this game, I'll stick with DCUO... I was part of the 1.0 group, only hung around a month, at least that was just not liking the gameplay much... this is a whole different level of "wtf?"

i tried to start a petition to have the queue system reinstated, Yoshida responded after a few thousand views stating that by having a larger queue system it would cause server instability and crash the currently capable to play gamers. Basically the login issue is intended to keep the game population to a minimum to keep the server stability at a maximum.. just keep opening and closing, spamming and the works till you get in, only thing we can do till wednesday.

Just keep trying, I had the same problem Sassy. I just kept restarting client and eventually it loaded my characters - but the issue of worlds being full is still there. Got to love Labor Day, it has made every NA server full with afkers who won't log off.

SE should restart their servers once a day or so until they fix the problem. That way it kicks off all the afkers. Or add in an AFK kick system, they had an AFK kick system in CBTs...I don't know why they took it out for official release.

they took out the afk timer for the same reason they missinterpreted how many game servers they needed, for their lack of communication, and poor customer service. Simply put, they were providing poor buisness standards to todays market and have felt the pain in the large hit theyve resulted in. Sometimes you gotta wonder how much weed a person can smoke before their good ideas become bad >_>
