PS3 users playing with pc users

the thing for me is that there is a Global cooldown, that is the great leveler as far as im concerned when it comes to the platforms, everyone has 2.5s between button presses to decide what they are going to do or switch between hotbars. If that isnt enough time for you then you need to learn to use your keyboard or controller better. Personally i hate the GCD because i feel the animation is long enough and can get bored waiting between presses because it slows combat needlessly.

if they wanted to balance it they could of just added real cooldowns on stuff.

thank you for your replies i feel i need to find a group of people just to hangout with and do the main 4 and other missions with thank you again. ^.^ I'm watching other that play FF14 ARR on youtube to get tips on combat and stuff i know i need to learn a bit more on things but ill get there.

I am loving using the controller and like it much more than mouse and keyboard. That being said I do have two minor complaints:

1. I am not a fan of moving onto the next target with a controller. I find that the game does not usually select the next closest enemy but might highlight another player instead. This can be annoying in combat but solved easily by when I press "tab" on my keyboard. Is there actually a way to target the next enemy with just a controller? I am accepting that I might just be doing something wrong.

2. I kind of wish pushing R2 and L2 at the same time would bring up a third option of abilities.

Minor things, nothing major.

I love using the ps3 controller and would use controller if I played on PC. Once you get used to it you can play just as fast as anyone on PC regardless of what anyone says. Also a lot of people on PC use gamepad making it no different from PS3.

Now on to the community... well where to start? In my opinion, the only thing I am disappointed with in this game is the community, or rather the people who give everyone a bad name. There are so many asses around pushing you to go faster than possible, telling you you're doing it wrong when really they are in the wrong and generally just insulting people for no reason.

The one thing that really annoys me is the discrimination against PS3 players, because it seems everyone on PC is against PS3 players and a lot to the point of not inviting you. I really hope these are just WoW/LoL players who are getting their 1 month fix and leave, but something deep down fears for the future of this game. Not because it's a bad game because it's fantastic, but of what the vocal minority will make it.

I play on PC using a 360 controller and there are some unique challenges but I haven't really had anyone call me out on it.

But they really need to expand the crossbar.
L+buttons, R+buttons AND L+R+buttons.

I'm on PC and I prefer 360 controller over k/m. I play every other game with k/m.

I feel that i'm actually faster and more organized with the controller and my UI isn't loaded with a crap ton of hotbars.
