I totally agree selecting from a group of attacks and spells seems more like Final Fantasy. But i Guess that have the these shortcuts juts makes it easier for everyone else that plays other MMOs so they pick up on it quickly. But the idea would make it more unique from other MMOs. I would be all in for this option.
