Had they run a longer Open Beta (3 days cmon) they would have seen the extent of the Issue, but they chose to run a short Open Beta, and then proceed with early access and Launch anyway. What you must remember is this is a relaunch, how many chances do you give them. People would have rather waited a little longer knowing the product would be better than to suffer the frustration of tasting the game then get shut out with promises. I think that is more likely what people are truly angry over, you can promise people anything but if you fail to deliver on a constant basis then people become Jaded, lose patience, and leave or flame the company. People play games to relax, they Play MMO's to get away from life for a bit, to get around people they may never have met otherwise, they develop friendships that can move beyond the game so the game becomes important to them. Game companies look at things in dollars and cents, and due to the American Economy now Americans like myself are playing more games, its relatively cheap (especially when going to a movie with a date can cost upwards of 50.00 for one movie and snacks) so it is a good way to just relax with friends, thus the Gaming industry is going strong right now, thus a company needs to concentrate on providing the best service possible and to correct errors quickly. Its how a company chooses to proceed that really tells you about how that company will handle future issues. will they just say sorry sorry sorry we will try to fix it, or will they put their best people on the issue and correct it in a timely fashion. Sadly in many peoples opinion SE has taken the first route, or there is something they are not telling us whatever the reason we are A) at their mercy, they have our money, B)at a point where all we can do is gripe and request a refund. complaining does make people feel better, while defending SE makes others feel value for their purchase and it is not illegal to be either one.
