So here's what I don't understand. SE acknowledges their system is broken and tell us that it won't be fixed until Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, and they say that in order to compensate for lost playing time they're going to extend our free play period.

Waiting until Wednesday sucks, but it is what it is. At least they told us.

But I don't get why people keep trying to play and aggravating themselves into rage-quit territory. Go play something else this weekend. Let them deploy their fix and see if it actually fixes things. If it doesn't, then by all means rage quit (I will!).

But trying to play on a holiday weekend (in the US anyway) when the servers are busted is just like slamming your forehead into a concrete wall and hoping somehow you're going to knock a hole through the wall. All you're going to get is a headache out of it.

All my friends are rage-quitting and all they're doing is hurting themselves since they already paid for the game and I don't believe they're persistent enough to get a refund. I'd rage-quit too if I'd spent the last 4 days trying and failing to log into a game.

Step away, let SE fix it, and come at it fresh. MMOs are marathons, not sprints, and in the overall scope of things not playing this first week isn't going to gimp you -- and now that SE has said they'll compensate us for the downtime, we don't have that clock-ticking pressure to play, either.
