    No auto HP/MP recovery - rely on magic/items

    I think one thing I always liked about final fantasy was the way we always had to rely on items or magic to cure what ails us. I would like to see some more longer lasting status effects that required a mage/item to cure - such as blindness, slow, sleep, sadness, poison, etc. It would be nice to buy items to use out on the field like in the old days.

    I also don't like how the HP/MP restore instantly upon resting. I know this is good for MMORPGs as it is a staple, but for a final fantasy feel I would like to opt for more HP, take less damage per mob that builds up over time, and relying on potions/cure spells to restore. Ether for HP or drain. Magic spells should also do more damage when used properly.

    I agree that blindness, slow, sleep, sadness, poison should last longer.

    I don't agree with the non regenerating HP and MP though, all MMO's have this and taking them away now would only cause more anger towards the game and people to quit.

    I do think they need to make potions both HP and MP more valuable during battle though.

    What about FFXIII. youre fully healed after every battle. Other FF's you rest at inns. Others even had cottages and tents to rest in the field or at save points that were protected. FFXI you had to kneel and pray to recover. FF is never the same throughout the series. Each is a different world with a different set of rules.

    I think eating our chocobos should fully heal us and remove all status ailments (when chocobos are finally added to the game, of course).

    But seriously, I wouldn't be against us receiving abilities to remove status ailments earlier and having the ailments be more of a detriment.

    Most games had an HP auto-regen, I think SE felt it was archaic to not have one (hey I miss resting sometimes, as a rdm that was the only break I got usually). Now that I have the mp auto regen I would not give it back. EVER *angry face* ^^
