Like many others - no, like everyone - I have encountered difficulties logging into the game. I have had 1017, 3102, 90000, 2002, 5006 errors time and time again in the past week. I have had lobby errors, start button grayed out, 1017 before character selection, "Unable to update NA/EU list", and 1017 after getting into a queue. I get 90k errors in game, get booted to character selection screen, and have to sit the whole process again.
However, in the end, I have always managed to get in. That speaks volumes on those who persistently say they cannot log in for 10+ hours. During NA peak times , at which I am at school (GMT +10 area here) and have to resort to my laptop, I manually have to click (no NUM-0) to get to the login screen. I do not have the advantage of fast spam of NUM-0 as those with a real keyboard do. However, after ten to thirty minutes of persistent clicking, I always, ALWAYS end up getting into the game. At most, I have experienced a wait time of one hour, but nonetheless, I STILL GOT IN.
That leaves me doubtful of the large vocal complaints about being impossible to log in even after a few hours. If you really wanted to login, there is nothing stopping you asides from your own will to actually get in. If you were constantly trying to get in for ten hours, you should be in far earlier than I who was only clicking my way through ten-thirty minutes. That gives me the conclusion that you only click on it every hour or so (exaggeration), and then call it a lost cause, because there is no way that you cannot be able to get into the game with persistence.
If you really wanted to play, you would not come to the forums to whinge and insult one another and SE. You should be attempting your utmost to enter the game through sheer persistence. If you do come to the forums, then I call you out for not being truly eager to play the game.
