That worked for me all last week but I wasn't able to get on at all Sunday and have been trying for 2 hours today with no luck.

So let's say you and I like... I don't know... beer. We go to the shop, buy the same beer. You pop yours open and take a swig. I, on the other hand, try to pop mine open and the tab snaps off. By your logic, the shop-keep is the only person at fault AND because MINE was faulty, he should take away you perfectly good and functional beer?

Posts like these need to end. I'm just as frustrated as anyone else but honestly no amount of bitching is going to speed things up. I agree that Square should have made better preparations for the amount of players but what's done is done and hopefully after Wed everyone will be able to play to their heart's content. Until then if you can't find something else to occupy your time then I feel really bad for you.

At any rate, as a business developer, it would be unacceptable to release code that failed in production; if it continued for a full week, heads would roll. It's pretty legit to point out the failure of SE, since they have decades worth of other games failures to use a model to predict how insufficient launch code and hardware will impact perception of their game. Are the hard core among us still going to play? yes. Are we going to mostly forget about it six months from now? yes. Does that excuse shoddy product development? no.
