Does this ability only work on one individual monster or one type of that monster? Ive only got it to work on Mongrels. It also seems that you have to be really close for it to take effect. Anyone do any crazy testing with it?

I've tried it on one of the hogs in Mor Dhona and it worked, but I have not done any type of crazy testing(s). Though I do believe it only works on one individual monster at a time, seeing as you have to pop it onto one.
wow to powerful
wow
From the testing I have done yes it takes you past 1 monster, seems a bit odd with such a crazy long cooldown
All the eluder skills work on one mob, you have to target the mob and use the skill on it. I have tried this in the past and it worked, I threw a stone at a wolf, then used Beastkin Eluder. It went from claimed to unclaimed. I kept throwing stones at it but it wouldn't aggro or go claimed.
I personally would prefer a buff that gave you the eluder ability for a short duration rather than against a single mob.
I agree totally with that. It seems like useless ability and I only really spent the points on it because i have nothing else to buy at the moment. Making it only target a specific group seems useless as well. Why would i have to use an ability on dormouse in LL? Do they become hostile at a point were i should fear them...All the eluder skills work on one mob, you have to target the mob and use the skill on it. I totally agree with this too Tec. in FF11, we had 2 eluding spells; sneak and invisible. we had to be aware of the different senses the aggro mob had and use the spells accordingly. the spell can be AOE to protect the party. It was an essential spell to have going anywhere. I liked this concept...
