yes, legacy servers have more gil circulating than new servers, stop posting about your millions. These are new players in new servers with no gil in the pool.
Gil makers: materia, high level crafting hides from mobs like hippogryph skin, crawler cocoon, or level 3x snurbles.
Or if you're willing to, level botanist/miner.
Nothing there makes gil, it just circulates it.yes, legacy servers have more gil circulating than new servers, stop posting about your millions. These are new players in new servers with no gil in the pool.

very true, and believe me I hope they introduce new sources of gill for new players.
Man, it fucking sucks to be worrying about gil for repairs. How fucking ridiculous is that, it's a freaking game after all, the least they can do is not make you worry about stupid shit like repairs.
Excuse my French.

I'm with you. I have a fair bit of funds from 1.0, but I'm already considering just wearing my newbie race clothing for everything but dungeons!very true, and believe me I hope they introduce new sources of gill for new players.

High tier materia, farming mob drops, guild quest items for lazy people, HQ mats.
The market for everything NQ and DOH-able has entirely tanked already.
My new friend to the game always says the reward from some of these quests are essentially enough to cover your teleport fees haha.
Supply on anything you can gather or nq craft is well past demand. I get most of my gear from quests, dungeons, leve chests on the job I'm leveling. What doesn't come from there is a few K from an NPC. I also have an unending supply of pots from random rewards. The only thing I really have to use the market for is decent food.
HQ melded gear can rival some pieces of Darklight though, so there is hope once you get your craft to 50, learn the markets, find material sources etc.

As someone who made three NQ Cobalt Haubergeons in a row before finally making a HQ one for ARM 50 quest. Mother f^&$ing HQ Undyed Felt will make you gil hand over fist.
/most of that gil will be mine.
//could make all my own HQ mats apart from that one....

Your best bet if you haven't leveled a healer up is to max out items, convert them, and sell high tier materia. For a while you'll be able to make some money selling L20+ botany/mining stuff, but don't count on that lasting long. The economy in this game isn't even vaguely well-designed enough to generate consistent revenue, and as more and more people max out classes and train up their DoH/DoL classes that's only going to get worse.
I actually make far more money hiring myself out as a mercenary healer for the level 15-30 dungeons than I do through any other channel. The vast lack of healers pre-30 means that DPS tend to be happy to pay 2k-3k per dungeon run to skip the 1-3 hour queue, and healers are the big bottleneck at lower level right now.
