I guess you should read the comment above youHow is this a dead topic you douche? The game is a week old and it's a forum used to discuss things so instead being such a prick, enlighten us what you discussed in beta or is there a one-time-forever-topic-limit? The question is both relevant and interesting, go be grumpy somewhere else if that all is you can contribute with.
and yes I do admit that I forget the discussion was in beta and it end with happy ending

Yes, those were incredibly fun! Though they should improve upon those from FFXI. No need for them to be "secret" and should be explained a bit more when you enter a dungeon.
Would work in dungeons and raids. You can already skill-chain abilities solo, atleast as a GRD.
I simply do not use the Limit Breaks anymore... either someone uses it before I notice it, or someone else wants to use it, and I'm not that bothered about flashy explosions. I presently play as if Limit Breaks do not exist.
And do I ever wish we had skill chains / magic bursts.. .that I thought was an excellent battle mechanic.

For any Dungeon boss, primal. they could have a use.
For general mobs though, probably not. they never did in XI really either unless you played way way back.
The current system is great. It requires planning and foresight and teamwork. Don't change a thing.
I remember the good old SATA Viper Bite for HUGE Scission skillchains for beetles in Garlaige... I guess I qualify as "played way way back" xD

If you're doing the storyline, I can see why you think the Limit break system is boring. Once you start getting into harder instances, such as Amdapor Keep or the hard mode primals, you will see that planning when to use them and which role will be using it will have a huge impact on the outcome of the fights. Using meteor on Ifrit's nails, using single target LB to finish bosses and so on.
I can see this being frustrating in the beginning when you don't see Limit Breaks as a key element of some instances and you want to try them for yourself, but you will get to like the system. I'm mostly playing BLM, and if we need BLM's Limit break and there is a BLM with better gear out there, I will definitely let him use the LB because it will be more powerful and will benefit the entire team more. You need to think of the system as a party mechanic, not as a super flashy action done by yourself.
If they give us indvidual limit break bars it would be like having old tp back and they could add limit break skill chains. Limit breaks could still be battle changing but require the party to work together to chain them. All 4 members using a level 3 limit break in succession should be pretty impressive.
