Please just kick the gods forsaken AFKers!

Yeah this might be a bit of a rant, but it's 2am and I'm still getting the World Full error. You can't tell me that the world is full of people actually still playing this late at night. Sure, some are people actually playing, but the VAST majority are people AFKing because they don't want to face 1017 tomorrow.

I understand not wanting to fight with the error, and I know it's easier to not log out, but the truth is if not one person could AFK for more than 15 mins without getting kicked out of the game, we wouldn't have 1017 errors at all except for MAYBE 2-3 hours during prime time. I could live with that. I wouldn't mind it kicking me out after 15 mins AFK if it meant that I'd be able to log into the game more often than I'm able to now.

As it stands now, I run around cities and I run through MASSESS of AFK players, so thick you couldn't move through them if there was character collision! That's just out in the world, in cities, and in all manner of quest hubs just standing AFK in truly massive crowds 50-100 people strong near aetherytes unmoving for hours on end. That's not counting all those AFK in inns that we can't see.

From what I can see just as I run around, it looks like a good 75% of the people online are actually AFK most of the time.

I honestly think just adding a system to boot people after 15 minutes AFK would have a huge impact on the server congestion problems. It's not like we have bizarres or any reason to stay online indefinitely anyhow.

I'm not encouraging anyone to log off and not AFK right now. It's too hard to get back into the game because of everyone being AFK. I just believe if they instituted an AFK booting system like many other MMOs have, we'd all have to face 1017 a whole lot less.

this game doesnt have 2 of the most needed systems for mmos: a working queue and no afk kick, no wonder 1017 is seriously hurting this game, if the actually game wasnt so awesome most of the players would of took this back to the shop already.

Wonder what the hell were square enix thinking about luanching this game!? no working queues/no afk kick and 25servers for JP and 25 servers for the rest of the world.............really how could they not see this happening ahead of time????

Their excuse is that they ended up with more players than they thought they would. I can see that being valid on not having enough servers, but why have they not implemented an auto-boot and a working queue? Would that really be that hard to do? Maybe they'll add one or the other on Wednesday?

If any of you can write in japanese, I would suggest you to post it on the JP boards. I didn't see ANY response regarding this idea and almost everyone seems to agree with it.

SE does seem pretty racist, they dont do anything unless theirs a problem with the JP servers. Hell there was no announcements watsoever until the JP servers started to get full

I agree, this is so stupid of them to not implement an afk booting system like every other game. I understand why people do leave their computers on all night while they sleep and while they go to work, but this is so bloody unfair to the rest of us who have payed for this game. Imagine if every single person who got into a server right now refused to log out? That would mean the rest of us wouldn't get in - ever. I hope they fix this crap because I refuse to keep attempting to log in for more than 30 minutes at a time.

3am EST, midnight PDT on a Sunday night going into Monday when much of the population has to be at work or school... and I'm still stuck behind 1017. There's no way the server is even 20% full of people who are actually playing right now.

Would be nice if they'd just do a server reboot or something. ; ;

It is 1:50 in the goddamn AM, and I still cannot get online. I've been trying since 11am in the morning (of course not the whole time but still). AFKers are a huge part of this problem. These hours should be the times that are least congested and this is happening. When I logged on at 2am the previous morning (surprised I could even get on) all I see are AFKers everywhere. This is a HUUUGE problem SE. And you are doing nothing about it but "considering" it.

It's Japan. They are quite xenophobic and racist (also sexist). Have been for ages. Anyone who actually has lived there or at least visited there for more than a few weeks at a time should have been able to see this by now :\ why weeaboos keep thinking it's so great is beyond me.

Though, to be fair, it seems racism and sexism are still quite prevalent in the US too -_-
