But.... I cant because I cant even get into a queue, let alone log into either of my two characters, who are on two separate servers.

Positing this here since.. for some reason.. I cant post a new thread in the 'general' forum.. Either due to:

a) I reached my daily 'allotted' posting limit.
or
b) My main character isn't a high enough level. (gee i wonder why that is.... not like i haven't 'tried' to play it)

Anyway.. on to the post.

I know the servers are swamped with people wanting to play. I know you guys vastly underestimated how many people would come back to FFXIV: ARR after how badly the first FFXIV launched.

But.. can you at least get the queue working?

I literally just spend 30 minutes (no I am not exaggerating, I used my watch as a timer) Trying to get into my character on the Cactuar Server. How was my 30 minutes spent? By the following.

Minute 0 - Minute 12
Click start, Click character name, Click ok to log in, Click ok to the 1017 "Server is full" message, Repeat.

Minute 13
Click start, Click character name, Click ok to log in, See "You are in the queue: Position 113", Cheer that im at least that much closer to actually playing.

Minute 14
Lost connection to server, Invent a few swear words and click ok.

Minute 15 - Minute 30
Click start, Click character name, Click ok to log in, Click ok to the 1017 "Server is full" message, Repeat.

Minute 31
Click exit.

That is basically what i did for a full 30 minutes.

As I said, i would really really love to play my character.. I want to play ARR... but it seems as if the only facet of ARR i am 'allowed' to play at the moment, is the "Character Creation Game". As that is the ONLY part of ARR i am currently able to access.

So.. i guess im stuck spending the next few days/weeks making characters over and over again, until i fill up all 8 character data slots.

You're telling me, I have spent hours today trying to get on, and yet nothing no one apparently has signed out of the server for hours and the one time, the one time I got into a queue with it saying 15 people went down to 13 then bam got the message server is full, it put me out of the queue and i haven't been able to get on the queue since. I think you just have to be lucky enough that you out of the thousands trying to get into the server that you clicked log in right when someone else left, but it has seemed I haven't beaten the 5000 to 1 odds.

I wouldn't mind sitting in a queue for 3 hours... as at least then i KNOW at some point i WILL get in to play. At least if you see "The server is Full, your position in the Queue is: 35976" you know that at some point, even if its 2 hours down the road, you'll find yourself in-game.

But this 'Server is full, try again in a few minutes' crap is almost as annoying as the Entire FFXIV launch was.

And thats only counting the actual 'players'. It dosnt even begin to count the RMT spammers we all know are in there.

I wouldnt say he dropped the egg on the Launch as a Whole.

For one, FFXIV:ARR itself is about 10x better than FFXIV was. It runs smoother, looks better, and the combat is more up-to-date. There's a few minor things to it that i dont like, like the lack of variations of skills/abilities to chose from, and the fact that you get them 'automatically' rather than having to earn them/buy them/train them.

But all in all, the game itself has turned out much better than FFXIV.

Its just the amount of users, and the servers to support those users that they fumbled bigtime on.

I know, if I do ever get past the login boss, Im not logging out. You are a complete idiot, if once you beat Yoshi's login mob, and actually get in the game, you log out. Oh hell no.
