Question about rules of the game (read before you answer please)

Hello, I have been a FF11 player for about 11 years and am making the jump (again) back over to 14. I rember back in FF11 you could not have any addon type things running on your game without breaking the ToS. I am NOT talking about illegal hacks or anything like that im talking windower *the program that lets you alt tab out of 11 to open up a browser*. I never used any of these to fear of getting banned for something stupid like that, I know you can alt tab out of 14 however, sometimes when i do it my game crashes and I have to log in again (yea you know why i dont want to do that lol). I've seen some screenshots of the game running with the steam GUI (allows you to shift tab in games to do things like open a web browser or even talk to friends via the steam chat (obviously only friends on steam). The game is not on steam but its not hard to launch the game with this said GUI. My question is, is it against this games ToS to launch the game via steam?

You would really have to do some big digging into the ToA to find that one out. I can see both why it would be a violation, and why it wouldn't. This is a really good question. Have tried sending in a support ticket to see what they say? most likely would be best to get your answer from support, then a forums user. Anyway, best of luck to getting your answer.
