FFXIV asking me to pay a new subscription after 24hours

I have been registered for ffxiv since 2011, and recently bought a hard copy of a realm reborn for the ps3. I bought 2 copies fr the 30 day subscriptions, registered them both (as well as having 13 days still on my account from my last playthrough) and managed to play for 24 hours.
The next day I went to log in and i get the message
"no valid or active service account is available to play ffxiv
in order to play ffxiv, you must first purchase the disital download from the psn or register product code"

Not only have a registered my codes on both the mog station, and the square site (and received my preorder gear in game), it is saying i need to again?

I dont know if i am being a typical blonde and missing something, but when i pay $140, i kind of expect to play, not watch my subscription days go down without being able to access.

Ive tried square support, 3 times theyve cancelled my ticket due to congestion from so many issues.

Help the poor girl out, shes going crazy here!!!!

You may have already done this, but if not, try this. If you are PS3 player make sure you use the code from the back of the booklet that came with the disc. Go to Account Management (on the PS3) and then Redeem Codes, enter code, skip the download if you already have the game installed. Then log in to the game, make sure you select the correct account with your character listed (if there is more than one account listed). Check the Mogstation after doing this, it should say you have 30 days to play (at least that's what my copy included).

Registering on Mogstation or Playonline site is not enough. You have to register through the PS3.

I redeemed my code on the account management page, and managed to play for 24 hours after that, but the next time I logged in, it decided it didn't like that anymore, and is asking me to register my digital code? What am I doing wrong

Did your copy have the 18 digit code to redeem then you got emailed the 12 digit? Mine never came with an initial 12 digit. I feel like a noob. Depressing. Ff is making me dumb.

$140? What you buy the CE ones? If so you only spent $80 on the game the rest being for the other stuff it came with.

I used the early access codes to get in initially, after launch I used the 12 digit code that was in my physical copy of the game and all was good.

Now I really can't decide what I've done wrong. I've redeemed my early access, then bought a hard copy and redeemed 12 digit code with that. I got access to the game for 1 day before it told me I need to subscribe. Maybe I'll just have to pay again (even though it still says I have 8 days)
