Windows client crashes

I keep getting these really random crashes with the Windows client. It has me nearly terrified to do anything when I'm able to log in because I never know what I'm going to do to cause the crash. I thought it was graphics drivers, so I upgraded them from the current WHQL drivers (320.49) to the most recent beta (326.80), and I'm still randomly getting crashes.

Same Thing Happens to me. Tonight twice within 60 minutes

This is a regression in the client program I am very sure. I won't get it last week and now I get it every time I am in the game playing and alt-tabbed.
My computer configuration stayed the same (that computer I only use it for FF14 and FF14 forum bowsing. I do my other works on my other 5 computers), no windows upgrade or whatnot.

Interesting thing is it never happens on title screen/character selection screen.

I've had the client crash a couple of times since EA. Most often when alt-tabbed. Next time it happens i'll try to remember to get a crash report and post it.

I've had it happen plenty when ALT-TAB'ing, but it's also happened randomly for no reason as well. Yesterday afternoon I was fighting the last set of minibosses in Tam-Tara Deepcroft and I crashed out. With the way the servers currently are I wasn't able to get back in until about 11:30 that same evening.

I figured it was a regression of some sort with a conflict in with 3D drivers. Are you guys also running Nvidia cards? GTX560 here.

I had the same issue as you, I did update to the new 326.80 beta drivers and it didnt help (much)....what DID help though, is I moved to a Japanse Server (I am in Western Canada) so the primetime wouldnt affect me as much. I am almost confident that it has everything to do with the servers themselves. I have done virtually everything to figure it out (a variety of past drivers, memtests, pulling memory, a variety of PC cleaning tools). Try playing on a less populated server (if you can find one) and see if that helps you. Yes that means re-rolling but you can always transfer to a server of your choice if you need to be with friends.
