SErver Wipe, please.

I dont know if SE is listening but everyday since launch the infamous 1017 has plagued the players and this game. Dont get me wrong, but I love this game but this 1017 error is seriously starting to irritate me and not really looking forward to playing this game until this issue is fixed. Good day Square Enix.

I think you mean restart, not wipe.

Restart = they reboot the server/software
Wipe = they delete all player characters.

A server wipe would probably be the icing on the cake for me to quit the game.
A server wipe isn't the answer. Getting the AFK / server issues fixed is.

Please explain how you think a "Server Wipe" would help the situation at all? Yoshi has already said the issues will be fixed on wendsday and everyone will get an aditional 7 days free trial after the fix is implemented. Wiping the server of all characters will just stir the hornets nest. And I for one would be a hornet since I've done so much in the game already.

I check yesterday on purpose how many AFKers was on line an it was 2 out of 3 ppl. Mainly located at around crystals. SE should make temporary, till they fix new servers, system that would kick AFKer out. I agree some of us may sell stuff out of bazaar later, but for now let ppl play, while you do something else.

I do not believe there's a 'bazaar' system... but then again i haven't played into the game's features terribly far... but i do have a retainer, and i thought that was what was used for selling goods...

wipe isn't the answer - a simple "are you there?" AFK kicker would be.


Why can't you get on? The server is full, lets say 10,000 out of 10,000 player slots filled.

How many do you see idle in town? Several hundred. Kick them - make room for players.
(I mean the all towns, 3 major starting cities and surrounding areas, I've been to all and counted 76 players, 6 hours later I checked again and counted 75, and most were "remembered" from 6 hours ago.)


Simple matter that games figured out over 15 years ago - why doesn't this game have one? Ignorance.

Correction: Restart the servers please. People are afk'ing because they don't want the 1017 themselves, so in their minds it would make more sense to afk and come back later than to log out and risk a very irritating 1017 error. Thank you for the correction.
