What companion did you go for, and what were they like?

I wanted to check out the companions a little but found there was no solid list of images or videos, just a couple. So, what did you opt for? I'm having trouble deciding between a female hyur and a female mi'qote. I mean, I like the mi'qote's supposedly fiery/playful personality better, but the only two mi'qote I've seen so far have a look that doesn't really suit it - one looks serious and the other looks cute.

So, with that in mind... what are the 'egocentric' female hyur like?

I ended up with a female...something. I don't recall if I nabbed a Hyur or Miqo'te. But mine was quite feisty. And magical, iirc.

I have a tar.. lalafel companion. I have no idea if it's a girl or a boy because it wears a cloak but i picked it because it had the prettiest eye color and thought i'd be able to change it's gear later. also it's a THM if that even matters. Also my lalafell's personality is that of a "brain" or "smarty pants"

After many cycles through the various conjurers, probably 30 or so of them at a guess, I decided on the female Hyur and have not been disappointed. I figured so many people will opt for the Mi'qote that I can check those videos on YouTube if I'm curious as to how the dialogue with them would have gone! But this girl has spunk (and I mean that in the clean way), I like her. In fact, I'd say she's the biggest personality I've come across in this game so far!

Hmmmm, thanks for the info Loony. I haven't actually picked my path companion, but I was thinking about going for the female Hyur as well. Think this might have just convinced me.

....unless, of course, I don't pick one yet, wait for them to add new races, then run around with a KICK-ASS FEMROE COMPANION!!!!!

....but, until then, think I'll go with the female Hyur.

To sum up the Female Hyur, she does indeed talk a lot about herself - but that's what I like about her, she shows her personality. But while self-indulging, she doesn't go so far as to be condescending to you - she still says it's a pleasure to work with you (or something to that effect), she has some mildly amusing comments, too. I imagine the female Lalafell is still best for the humour, but I prefer an insight into a character rather than comedy, and also as a Roegadyn it's a royal pain in the behind when you're looking for a Lalafell in first-person view, which I often use. You look this way, you look that way, and then it dawns on you that they're just sitting on your boot! Even Mi'qote (which my good lady uses) get lost on me if they stand too close.

I know what you mean. I use a Highlander at their tallest setting, so while I don't quite tower over them like a Roe does, it's still hard to pinpoint them sometimes. Most Lalafell don't even come up to my knees. X.x

I chose a Miqote Archer and she is a saucy minx. She says sexually suggestive things about the quests and constantly tries to bed me. Me gusta.

A Miqo'te. Like Rubieus said, they make sexual connotations almost all the time.

Miqo'te here too. Loved her lines ^^ she does talk trash even more than i do! @_@ Its almost my soulmate!

If at least we had some "nice" /emotes to use on each other..../drool
