I'm a 1.0 legacy player who currently owns both the PC and PS3 version of FFXIV. The PC version is the collector's edition that all 1.0 CE owners got for free. Downloaded and payed for the regular PS3 version of the game, because I have always preferred gaming on console.
After I had downloaded the game for PS3, I started it, and tried logging in with my pre-existing account. This is the message that I got:
"No valid service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn
In order to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn you must first purchase the digital download from the Playstation Store or register a product code
*Please restart the client for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn"
This message has appeared on my screen for about a week now. I am not the only person with this problem. Here is a thread on a playstation forum:

So far I haven't heard anything from Square Enix or Sony, and I find it a bit worrying. Hopefully this issue will be resolved in the near future, but I hope that this thread will put some pressure on Square Enix and let them know that a lot of people are unable to enjoy FFXIV on their PS3 system.
