Spamming "Start < Character Select" Fix 1017

I have heard of people spamming "enter" to continuously try to log themselves in repeatedly to get past error 1017 (servers are full try again later).

I have had zero success with this and was wondering if there is anyone here who has had been able to get in by spamming start < character select.

I downloaded murgee auto keyboard and set it to press num 0 every 1 second and just afk until im logged in :S

So you were able to log in? How long did it take roughly?

it depends on how lucky you are... one time it took me 8 hours on murgee's and other times it takes 10-45 minutes. sometimes you get real lucky and it might take 5 minutes or you get a que.

It takes for freaking ever, it just auto-mates trying 1000 times, its all down to luck, when you have probably over 1000 people trying to log in at once and no auto-logout, you're basically waiting on people to DC or people who don't know you don't have to log out (which that number is growing smaller)

it's not a fix, it just improves your odds of getting online because you're making attempts to log in faster, hoping to land a recently vacated spot before someone else does. The problem is, there are a couple hundred to thousands of others doing the exact same thing. If they'd just put everyone in a proper queue and never force anyone to see that stupid error 1017, they'd probably at least cut down on the massive server load all these requests to log in are creating.

Actually what they NEED to do is create a 30 minute auto logout... Suddenly theres just a lot more room for people wanting to play and not people holding their spot that they wasted hours trying to get.

A queue and an auto log out with fix all of this.

Even restarting the servers twice a day would be better then this

There should be a timed log out put in place for this game. For one thing there's people who just stay afk for hours on end while there's obviously other people spamming the start and character select buttons trying to get in. It's ridiculous :L We're all paying to play, what's the point of doing so if just getting in is a battle? It's either increase the player capacity in the servers (they'll get packed eventually anyway imo), set up a 30 min log out system for afk players and/or make the server switch function as painless as possible lol
