I agree with this. They are practically rewarding people who are selfish and don't log out by saying "Yes this is an issue but we aren't fixing it, so go ahead and stay logged in as long as you want". I log out as a mater of courtesy to the the community. If I am not playing at the time, I should not stay logged in just so I dont have to log in later. It is not fair to those trying to log in. I have been trying ALL day today and got 1017 for 13 hours straight. I don't want 7 extra days, I want to just be playing now.
