What does this symbol mean? Noob question.

What does the symbol mean that is next to your hp bar/ALL text. It looks like 3 little circles inside of a bigger circle. I think it has something to do with targeting but I can't figure out what it actually means/is for.

For context, I'm on PS3 using gamepad.

It's targeting. You can set it to say enemies if you need to move between them. As a healer, you want to select allies.

The symbol is? I know the text changes from ALL to enemies to allies to whatever, but what does the symbol have to do with the targeting system?

hm. someone on the server is saying that it has to do with level syncing. i haven't done any content that involves that to verify it. anyone know if that symbol next to your HP bar changes when you level sync?

I think it means cycle.
Since you can cycle from All, Enemy, Party, NPC.
