Easiest way i've found to find out if server is full/at cap

Since there doesn't seem to be a way to check which servers are full outside of doing this or spamming login attempts (from what I can tell), what I do to check the server's capacity status is go through the steps to making a new character, and then when I get to the part where I select the server I just leave that up and hit the refresh button on that (after each refresh you have to wait a few minutes before you can refresh it again). The ones listed in white are the ones that aren't currently at cap and have the highest chance of being able to be logged into, if your server ends up in white, quickly hit the x in the the bottom left corner and try to log into your character. I got onto other servers that way, just not the one my friends play on (yet).

.... this is not the case. Yesterday i created character on two servers and was still hit with 1017 And didnt get opening cut scenes. NA is completely down on creation to boot

I started playing this because of friends, this "launch" has led them to uninstall too.

Only thing this tells you is if it's at cap or not at cap. At cap you're going to get 1017 100% of the time, if it's not at cap you've got the best possible chance of getting in, which you can find out through this method as opposed to sitting at your character screen for hours spamming login attempts. When not at cap other errors can get in the way, but normally not 1017. I've tried it with a buncha different servers with this and the white ones I was able to create new characters on the majority of the time, the only exception being when they were having other issues.
