Just having a functioning queue would help tremendously. It's a new game, and an unexpectedly popular game and I understand if there's lengthy queues. 30 minutes, hour whatever. If nothing else I'll remote access from work at the right time to be able to play when I get home. Player morale would go up considerably.

It would also reduce the load on the lobby/regoinal servers. I would have to imagine that holding some in queue is far less stressful on the server than having that same player try to log in a few times a minute for the same timespan.

It would also help with the server balancing, particularly if the average queue position in primetime over the last 3 days was public. If people get frustrated with queue they can look at every server and reroll to give every server roughly the same stresses. Right now I have no idea if the other servers are better or worse than Cactuar. So I stay there because I'm vested in that server and have no other information to go on. You prevent people from making a rational decision they are forced to act irrationally.

Hell add in a afk boot system so the queue moves quicker and this would seem like a great game and an unexpected hit rather than a great game that's an unexpected hit that's maintained by a room full of 2nd graders.
